Why and when to buy nematodes against ants?

When you are going to fight ants with ant-run, you should know when you can use this pesticide. Below, we explain several situations in which you can or cannot use ant-run.

Ants in a flowerpot: you can pour the ant-run nematodes into a flowerpot. The nematodes then make the adult ants move and your pots become ant-free. This also applies to vegetable containers in which ants have built their nests.

Controlling ants in the lawn or in the lawn: this can be done with ant-run. You first mow the grass as short as possible. Then make sure that the total area is wet. Ideally, you process the total surface or pour the product on the different openings of the ant nests. Keep in mind that nematodes must get into the nests of underground ants.

Controlling ants in greenhouse, vegetable or garden plants: this is certainly possible with ant-run, because ants can penetrate the soil. If you want to control nests of ants between ornamental plants, you should remove or cut the bark of the tree before applying ant-run. Then it can be laid back.

Fight against ants on the terrace, destroy the ants under the tiles: this can only be done with ant-run if you lift the tiles. Then you can pour under the hard surfaces directly into the nests of ants of ants. So there is no point in pouring ant-run on top of the terrace tiles.

Controlling winged ants: unfortunately, there is no point in controlling flying ants specifically. Male ants and young queens have wings so that they can mate in the air. They lose their wings again after mating. So flying ants are only a temporary phenomenon.
